Welcome from the Head It is a genuine privilege to welcome you to Pennthorpe and to lead a school that means so much to so many families. Pennthorpe is a special place: full of wonderful children, dedicated staff and supportive parents, all working together with a shared belief that childhood should be happy, purposeful and carefully nurtured.
At Pennthorpe, children come first – always. We believe that happy children thrive, and so kindness, openness and respect underpin everything we do. Our school has a strong sense of family, where every child is known, valued and supported, and where relationships matter. We take time to listen, to understand, and to ensure that every child feels safe, confident and ready to learn.
Learning at Pennthorpe goes well beyond academic achievement. Our skills-based curriculum helps children develop confidence, resilience and independence, and teaches them how to approach challenges positively. We do not rush childhood; instead, we give children the space to grow, to explore, and to develop a strong sense of who they are as learners and as people.
